Description: Returns the x-based logarithm of
y.
Result type: DOUBLE PRECISION
Syntax:
LOG (x,y)
If either argument is 0 or below, an error is raised. (Before 2.5, this would result in
NaN,±INFor 0, depending on the exact values of the arguments.)If both arguments are 1,
NaNis returned.If
x= 1 andy< 1, -INFis returned.If
x= 1 andy> 1,INFis returned.
If the external function
LOG is declared in your database, it will override the internal
function. To make the internal function available, DROP or ALTER the external
function (UDF).
